November 12th.

November 12, 2012

Since my last post we have undergone a Nor' Easter, Snow Storm, and overall just some terrible up and down weather. Lack of posting is due to lack of leaving the house in an appropriate outfit. (Except for Friday, the 9th, went to a cousin's 21st birthday and had a blast!) Happy Birthday Heath! Sneak Peek Below.

Jacket from Old Navy, Scarf from Savers, Abercrombie Thermal from Savers, Forever 21 Jewels

The most important part of my outfit today, are my new kicks from my Best Friend Alijah. $30 at Ugg Australia, and a crucial and perfect piece in our new fall wardrobe.

I went sans make up today, I rushed myself into work after playing with my cats too long. Chunky glasses and a messy bun with tinted chap stick is much more comfortable in this weather anyway.

I'm feeling super refreshed today, even though I'm still too cold to function, let's start with my outfit.

Ugg Australia Sofia Boot Originally $199.99 - $30.00
Pac Sun Bull Head Moto Jeans found at Savers for $6.99
J Crew Fountain Cardigan found at Savers $3.99
Distressed Moto Jacket in Brown from Forever 21 $21.99
Tribal Scarf from Forever 21 $2.99
Jewelry from Forever 21

Note: Normally, I would be rocking my iPhone 4s G-Form case on my phone, but as of late, I swapped with a friend so she could have the benefit of using the unparalleled awesomeness of their Impact Resistant Foam. I will be purchasing a new one here. I'll probably go with Pink or White this time.

Some time later this week, I will check in with a few brand new themed posts, maybe some food, nails, TV, music, etc.

Stay tuned!

First of November!

November 1st, 2012

I am always cold; I usually dress like this towards the end of July; I enjoy being warm so much that I start fall more than a few months early. This outfit is my most comfortable "go to" and is a genre that I mashed up after making the transition from living in Florida for 6 years, to coming back to New England. Layering and Color Blocking are two of my favorite things, putting the two together is a little daring, but that's usually how I like to be. I am definitely one of those people that could loose a few accessories  but my strong addiction to going three steps further is what I think makes my style unique in a small way.

What makes me so proud of this outfit, is that 90% of it is quality, impeccable pieces, and also 90% from Savers!

J. Crew Camel Fountain Cardigan $3.00 at Savers
Abercrombie and Fitch Floral Lace Tank $1.50 at Savers
Hollister Denim Shorts $4.99 at Savers
Vera Wang Maroon Tights $6.00 at Kohl's
Cream Knee Socks $0.50 at Savers
Distressed Knee High Black Leather Boots $7.99 at Savers
Jewlery: Target, Forever 21
Accesories: Anthropologie Beanie, Wet Seal Scarf

Our days in New England are starting to get much colder at night, so when I go out, I take my warmest sweater, also a find at Savers!

Gap Knit Tie Sweater $5.99 at Savers

I love every piece in this outfit, and usually wear something similar to this 5 days out of the week when I am working. Another favorite thing about these comfortable outfits, is the amount of room you have to do a really great and fun makeup. I love using bold makeup colors in the fall, this years runways had gorgeous dark lips and exaggerated blush colors. You'll definitely be seeing me do more with this color palate.

Welcome!

Allo, Bonjour.

If you have stumbled upon this post, I can only assume that you know me, therefore, I will save any introduction of who I am, and get to explaining to you why you are seeing the things I am posting.

I wouldn't call fashion a hobby of mine, I wouldn't call it a passion either. Fashion to me is a research point, that of which I simply cannot get enough of, I guess I would end up calling it a fascination. I have been researching fashion for as long as I can remember having access to a computer or access to a library of some sort, the internet is a wonderful provider, but sometimes in my curiosity, hitting a book or an old newspaper gives me much more of the information I am looking for.

On this blog, you will be able to find extremely unrelated posts to one another, but a cohesive mapping of things I enjoy. My enjoyment is also much broader and specific than others, so stay tuned for some interesting dollops of fun every now and then.

Because this is my first day back to blogging, I'm going to keep my posts simple and to the point until I get back in my groove.

For those of you who are not familiar with Pinterest (if you are a female, you are missing out on one of the best websites for the female mind, I fully recommend at least giving it a look,) it is a compilation of posts about EVERYTHING. From DIY, to recipies, fashion, organization  it is a life website on which you can create boards of interest geared specifically to you.

The first board I ever made has now turned into a compilation of different fashion pieces, I called the board "My Radar" and I have stuck very firmly to putting items in there that simply make me want to sob (Unfortunately, this happens much too often, crying has become my way of explaining my passion.). Now, if you know me, you know hyperbole is a way of life, everything exaggerated, everything has to be big, flashy, and most of all just.... me. I am very specific, very odd, and  my style opinions contradict themselves more than a Starburst commercial.

Now, here is my disclaimer, my taste is expensive, but in no way are the items on my radar parts of my wardrobe, as much as I would like them to be. At least once a week I will be posting an outfit I have put together from my wardrobe with camera help from my lovely boyfriend, I will be touching lightly on my obsession with food, and I most definitely will be informing you of one of my biggest hobbies, TELEVISION.

Here is my warning, and welcome into my mind.

First on my radar is a shoe so chic and relaxed, just looking at them puts my mind in a happy place.

Miu Miu Jeweled Smoking Slippers

These SCREAM Cigar Bar to me, although at first I was torn on the heel accents, I eventually came to love the small flare of femininity it gives the slipper.
I would love to put these shoes with a gorgeous dark wash jean and a simple tee with a tailored blazer. Up do is a must for me with a tailored blazer, so why not use that as an excuse for a few touches of gold and diamonds up top? If I had my way, I'd be pairing these with the accessories below.
Movado Gold Plated Museum Watch 36mm $650.00

Tiffany and Co. Solitaire Diamond Earrings $1,175.00

The Miu Miu Smoking Slipper is most definitely something that will inspire my outfit choices this winter. Target has had a few great Smoking Slippers in their shoe department this season. I will leave you with a few cheap alternatives that I am looking in to buying for myself eventually.

Thank you so much for stopping in, reading, and supporting something that I think is going to make me very happy. :)
